Module 1

Block printing is a fascinating art form that involves carving designs onto wooden blocks and transferring them onto fabric. In this class, you'll get a basic overview of this technique and learn to create something truly unique and off the beaten track.

During the class, you'll learn how to layer a motive design or an all-over design using water-based pigments. You'll have the opportunity to mix and match colors and incorporate Gad (Ground), Rekh (Outline), Datte (Filler) designs, allowing you to create a one-of-a-kind scarf or sarong (short) that reflects your personal style.

Inspired by the intricate designs and bright colors of Sanganeri Print, you'll select from a range of designs (With Single+ you gain exclusive access to designs from our signature fabric collection) and hues to create your Pico stitch scarf or sarong (for Single access class only). With careful guidance and expert instruction, you'll be amazed at what you can achieve in just a few hours.

By the end of the class, you'll have a unique piece of wearable art that you can proudly wear or gift to someone special. So come and explore the art of block printing and unleash your creativity!

Module 2

This category is similar to Module 1 but with a twist - it offers a range of custom and metallic colors to take your project to the next level. Not only will you have the opportunity to take part in the exciting process of creating these colors, but you'll also get to design your very own personalized color scheme using a digital color palette generator.

Once you've created your custom color scheme, you'll have the chance to apply it to your material.

Module 3

This class will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the various stages involved in block printing. You'll learn about block creation, color mixing, and printing, and get hands-on experience with the three different hand-printing methods that involve wooden blocks: Sanganeri (using synthetic, water-based colors), Bagru (using natural dyes), and Dabu (using mud-resist).

Throughout the class, you'll discover the distinctive features that set each method apart and gain a deeper appreciation for the art of block printing. You'll have the opportunity to engage in each of these areas, allowing you to explore the nuances and intricacies of the process.

At the end of the session, you'll have a firm grasp of the block printing procedure and will have created your own exceptional hand-printed products to take home with you. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced crafter, this class is the perfect opportunity to learn a new skill and unleash your creativity.

Module 4 with Certificate of Completion

In this class, we'll focus on three specific areas: Bagru, Dabu, and digital technologies, using a 3D modeling computer program, for block making.

You'll discover the intricacies of each method, including the unique materials and tools used, as well as the nuances of the carving and printing techniques. We'll explore Bagru and Dabu, two traditional forms of block printing that have been used for centuries, and digital technologies (CNC, Laser or 3D Print), a cutting-edge approach that allows for unparalleled precision and detail.
