Matched: Find Your Shade. Match It to Print and Thread.

Whether you're a textile designer in Jaipur, or a maker searching for the perfect embroidery thread — the color you see isn’t always the color you get. That's where Matched steps in.

What is Matched?

Matched is a simple, intuitive tool that helps you:

Search a color — by name, Pantone code, or hex

Refine it using natural language or a visual color wheel

Match it precisely to the closest Pantone (for print) and thread shade (for embroidery or stitchwork)

It's your quiet color assistant — bridging the gap between digital inspiration and material reality.

Why We Built It

As makers, we’ve all been there: You fall in love with a color online. You try to match it to a Pantone chip. Or worse — spend hours finding a thread that’s “close enough.”

Even when you're working with physical swatches, it’s hard to translate what’s in your head (or on your screen) into something you can actually print or stitch.

Matched was born out of this friction — we wanted a tool that feels as natural as asking a colleague,

“Can you show me a softer blue?”
“What’s the closest Anchor to this coral?”

And now, it does just that.

How It Works

Matched is powered by smart color logic and human-friendly inputs:

Search Naturally:
Ask for a color in plain words — like “muted yellow” or “richer green.” Or drop a hex or Pantone directly.

Refine Interactively:
Want it warmer? Lighter? Dustier? Tell Matched and it responds — instantly.

Get Real-World Matches:
Once your shade feels right, Matched shows you the closest Pantone code (for screen-to-print work) and thread shades (from leading embroidery systems like DMC, Anchor, and Nirmal*).

Designed for Designers and Studios
