Studio Conduct
Creatis is a shared creative studio. All visitors are expected to behave respectfully toward the space, equipment, and other creators.
- Please ask a team member before accessing supplies or equipment.
- Use of studio equipment requires prior approval.
- Photography is not permitted, except for photographs of your own work.
- Food may only be consumed in designated areas.
- Any form of disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in removal from the studio and restriction of future access without refund.
- We encourage respect for the originality of others' work. If you wish to reproduce or build upon another creator's ideas, seek permission and provide appropriate credit.
- Creatis reserves the right to deny entry or service to anyone who violates studio policies or compromises the safety and environment of the studio.
Photography & Media
Creatis will not photograph or film you without your consent. If consent is provided, Creatis may use photographs or video for promotional purposes, including social media, the Creatis website, and other marketing materials.
Safety & Liability
Creatis operates a functional textile studio that includes industrial tools, dyes, and equipment. Participation in workshops or studio activities involves inherent risks.
- Printing, dyeing, and finishing processes involve inherent risks. While we handle all materials with care, Creatis cannot guarantee outcomes and is not responsible for damage, colour variation, shrinkage, or other changes that may occur during the production process.
- By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree that you do so at your own responsibility.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Creatis shall not be liable for personal injury, medical expenses, or damages resulting from participation in studio activities.
- Creatis is not responsible for personal belongings or materials left in the studio, whether intentionally or unintentionally.
- Security cameras are installed solely for safety and surveillance purposes.

The client assumes full responsibility for ensuring that submitted materials do not infringe upon any copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights of third parties. The client agrees to indemnify Creatis against any claims arising from such use.

- Any questions regarding invoices must be raised within 7 days of the billing date.
- Clients using prepaid packs must maintain a positive balance to retain their applicable rates. These prepaid packs are non-refundable, and if a positive balance is not maintained, work will be billed at standard rates.

You may cancel up to 3 hours before your booking for no charge. Cancellations made after these windows are not eligible for a refund.
Working with a Master
- Creating a collection is hard — prepare for bumps along the way. Be resilient; the process isn't always linear, and that's normal.
- Provide a single visual reference, not multiple. Conflicting references slow the master down and lead to guesswork.
- Share exact measurements upfront. Guessing mid-session costs time you're paying for.
- If there's a language barrier, use a liaison — don't assume you're understood. A coordinator on the thread prevents costly misunderstandings.
- Hand embroidery and delicate materials take longer than machine work. Choose your service and timeline expectations accordingly.
- Rate your master honestly, not generously. Inflated ratings blur who's actually doing excellent work and who isn't.
- Trust the craft process over your own assumptions about speed. A master's pacing reflects care, not inefficiency.
- Be patient with your master. Hand-work takes time — rushing rarely improves the result.
- Approve one sample before moving to per-unit pricing. Ask your master for an estimated sample turnaround time, and sign off on it before requesting per-unit pricing.
Make at Creatis — Workshops
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled workshop to allow time for check-in and setup. Workshop sessions cannot be extended for late arrivals.
- To maintain a focused experience, the studio is open only to workshop participants.
- Creatis reserves the right to reschedule or cancel workshops due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
- Participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
- Workshop outcomes may vary. Due to the nature of hand printing and dyeing, results cannot be guaranteed.
Cancellation Policy
Groups of fewer than 4 participants: full refund if cancelled at least 3 hours before the workshop. Groups of 4 or more participants: full refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before the workshop. Cancellations made after these windows are not eligible for a refund.
