Achara: The Story Behind Our Kit Packaging

In our studio, every piece of cloth has a journey. The fabric (achara) that once lined our print tables—catching ink, supporting blocks, and witnessing countless test prints—usually ends its life as waste. We didn’t want that story to end there.

Instead, we began reclaiming this material and transforming it into the packaging for our Block Print kits. Each parcel you receive is wrapped in cloth that has already lived through the craft process. It carries marks, memories, and the quiet beauty of usefulness extended.

This approach does more than reduce waste; it keeps our packaging honest. Nothing fancy. Nothing unnecessary. Just material that has served, and can serve again.

It’s a small shift, but a meaningful one—rooted in the belief that craft doesn’t stop at the product. It extends to how we treat the resources that make it possible.
