This workshop is a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating world of Islamic geometric art, which has been an important element of Islamic art and architecture for centuries.

Through a combination of demonstrations and hands-on practice, you will gain an understanding of the fundamental concepts of Islamic geometric design, such as the use of repetition, symmetry, and tessellation. You will also learn about the different types of Islamic geometric patterns, including star patterns, rosettes, and interlaced designs.

The workshop will provide you with the opportunity to create your own Islamic geometric designs using traditional tools and techniques. You will learn how to use a compass and straightedge to construct basic geometric shapes, and how to combine them to create more complex patterns. You will also learn how to use color and shading to enhance your designs. Using Photoshop, we will explore different techniques for combining and manipulating your geometric shapes to create seamless designs that are ready for digital printing.
