Module 1

Transform a plain piece of cloth into a beautiful work of art with the technique of embroidery! In this class, you will learn the fundamentals of embroidery by becoming familiar with a range of basic stitches such as the star, fern, running, cross, chain, running threaded, and french knot, among others. (With Single+ you gain exclusive access to designs from our signature fabric collection)

Not only that, but you will also discover the art of embellishing with beads, mirrors, sequins, coils, and more. By the end of the class, you'll have created a stunning hooped embroidery sampler that can be proudly displayed in your home or given as a thoughtful gift.

All necessary materials will be provided, but you're welcome to bring your own if you have a specific vision in mind. So come join us and discover your passion for the timeless art of embroidery!

Module 2

Embark on an exciting journey through the captivating world of hand embroidery where you'll learn a myriad of new stitches, techniques, and designs at every step.

Expand your embroidery skills and create a stunning portfolio of over 100 basic and intermediate stitches, including line and border stitches, as well as filling stitches like Zardosi and Aari Tari. You'll also get the opportunity to compare stitches, gain new perspectives, and work with a single head embroidery machine during a couple of sessions.

By putting your new-found skills into practice, you'll create multiple embroidery projects, leaving you with a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction.

Module 3

Get ready to unleash your creativity with the art of embroidery! Dive headfirst into the world of stitch and thread, where you'll learn new techniques and bring your designs to life.

Expand your embroidery skills with a comprehensive portfolio of 200 stitches, including openwork and needlepoint, and delve into the fascinating world of embroidery art from various parts of India, such as Kashmiri (Kashida), Uttar Pradesh (Chikankari), Bengal (Kantha), Punjab, Gujarat, Jaipur (Gota Pati), and Himachal (Chamba Rumal).

In addition to traditional embroidery techniques, we'll also explore common mending techniques that prioritize the preservation and reuse of textiles, emphasizing the beauty of imperfection and the value of repairing rather than discarding.

As a special highlight, we'll teach you how to integrate electronic components, such as conductive fibers, sensors, and microcontrollers, into clothing and other wearable items, allowing them to sense, react, and communicate with their environment through embroidery.

Module 4 with Certificate of Completion

Learn the skills and techniques necessary to create intricate and detailed embroidery designs by hand, one-of-a-kind pieces that are works of art in their own right. You will learn a variety of techniques, such as stumpwork, goldwork, chip work, couching, beadwork, silk shading. You will work on a variety of materials and will create work from pre-existing patterns. This is a unique and rewarding experience that will allow you to learn a beautiful and highly specialized craft, allowing you to showcase your creativity and skill.

(In this module, in addition to a skilled embroidery master, you will be guided by an embroidery designer who will provide individualized instruction and feedback.)
